Not getting enough "likes" on your posts?... Try this....

The Plague: An app that spreds information like a virus on social networks.

A new social networking app called Plague gives you power to decide what posts should go viral in your circle and beyond.

We all know what the term ‘viral’ means in relation to the Internet, but what if a social network took that idea literally? No, I’m not talking about a social network that somehow infects your devices with viruses: rather, I’m talking about a new social network called Plague that literally tries to infect the world with your content.

Plague works like this: once you share a simple content (i.e. simple text, a link, photo, or a video), the content will find the first four mobile devices with the Plague app installed that are closest to you. Once found, your content will be delivered to the recipients, and if they like your content, they can choose to pass the content along to the next four recipients closest to them (that also have the Plague app installed) or ignoring the content (which will ultimately hurt the spread of the content).

This cycle continues until people stop spreading it. Each content displays its ‘patient zero’ – where the content originated from – and comments on the content as well. Other than that? There is no option for following a user or even sending a message to an individual user. There’s only one goal: to pass along interesting content to four people in your proximity or ignore content you don’t find interesting.

This is what is so great about Plague. There’s no emphasis on ‘Liking’ this or ‘Following’ this person: instead, the sole focus is on sharing awesome content. Every user on Plague is on equal footing, and each person has the opportunity to spread great content just like every other person.

Plague is a fantastic concept that tweaks the way we think about social networking, but it could also have dire consequences if Deep Sea isn’t careful.

Symbian operating system future

symbian operating system
Mobile users especially Nokia mobile users are familiar with word Symbian. When Symbian phones were introduced they were have great demand. It has made a great  impact in the market. But recently its demand has been affected. Nokia has officially announced the stop the production of mobile with Symbian Operating system.

This downfall of Symbian has to be blamed on Google’s Android. Android is given more publicity than anything else. Whatever be the fact, Android is setting its stage. Symbian is made the Operating system for Nokia only. But all the other leading mobile phone are now providing phone with Android operating system in them.

Apart from developers android is getting support from mobile handset manufacturers. It’s like they are waiting for the successor in the industry to take on. Also Google is providing secure and user’s friendly brand to its customers. Here is where Symbian fails.

Symbian and android has not given developers any open community or open code. So the main difference comes in the brand. Even though Symbian has been in the market for decades and it is sad to say it hasn’t got enough market value like android.

Symbian has weak user interface. When developing a software product source code, market value all should be foreseen .This is where android has made its foundation. It is a counter blast for Nokia that it could not keep its name in market like android now. It is trying its best compete with brands like iPhone and Blackberry .So there should be a good effort from company side to keep its market value up. Nokia N8 is such a model that can compete with others.

But it took a long time for Nokia N8 to be released  in the market after its announcement. It was the first phone to have latest Symbian 3 Operating system. Even then its demand has decreased with the delay in release. The world then started to think about new feature other than this. Review about Nokia N8 says that it has got good hardware but bad software. Good camera, aesthetics and durability are shown as the exceptional features of the phone. This new Symbian OS has overcome it errors than the previous version. But if it needs to be competent with the iPhone they have to develop products than of now.

Because of these problems the Nokia’s new CEO Stephen Elope has said they will switch to Windows Phone 7 operating system. So Symbian will only be a history then.
When talking about Symbian the users think about its difficulty in implementation. The hang applications, rebooting at uneven times, pop up message shown when opening message box are only a few problem out of a large set.

But only when smart phone were introduced we came about these problems. Symbian was not introduced for these phones. We much think about what Symbian has given us. Without giving much amount Symbian gave the latest and advanced feel in technology to common people through low end phones. There are a number of people who cannot afford the high end ones. Only Symbian was there for their need.

So we can call Symbian as a real phone operating system. Nokia has said to cooperate with Microsoft recently. So Windows Phone 7 will be the future operating system in Nokia phones .This will take at least two years to completely change to its new one. Also last year’s market review show that the demand for Symbian phones has not been affected so much.
In between the switching to its new operating system Nokia said, it will try to support Symbian market. But such  a move is said to affect the company’s  growth.

Smartphone Future

Symbian Anna operating system is the latest Symbian version from Nokia. Modified user interface, fast browser, search through Ovi map are said to be its main features. This shows that even though switching to Windows Phone 7 operating system, Nokia is concerned with Symbian. In the next five years drastic changes are said to takes place in smart phone market. We can see this by looking at history of last five years. Google has not only introduced a new operating system, Android, but its changed the concept of using phone. Accelerometer, touch screen, GPS based location tracking etc has come to phones. All these happened within just two to three years.

Wireless HDMI, built-in projector, figure print scanner,3D etc are expected to be in smart phone in future. Also phones are said replace computer in future. In Japan Docomo has already started such a move by giving Toshiba T-01A to its customers. Nokia itself has released a device calling N900.

Fully connected location sensitive devices are next. It is the successor of Bluetooth connectivity in Business phones. Sending application through Wi-Fi to another smart phone is the concept here. Gaming is the next development area.Alive-4 in iPhone has already given hints that games become more graphical in future. Smart phones will revolutionize area of socialnetworking also.

By 2015 we may not use Facebook because connection will be automatically set up on having information about a person. So by 2015 Personal Computer will only be secondary. Smart phone will become a one stop connection and a close friend of any one.

HTC Confirms Android L Update for One and One (M8) Smartphones

HTC Confirms Android L Update for One and One (M8) Smartphones

HTC was one of the first handset manufacturers to announce Android 4.4 KitKat rollout plans for its smartphones, and the Taiwanese giant has again lived up to its reputation.

HTC has announced that it will be rolling out the Android L update to its 2013 flagship, HTC One, also referred to as the One (M7), and its new flagship, the HTC One (M8).

The Taiwanese handset maker announced the news via its official blog post, and said, "Our approach will be the same with the Android L release from Google. This release promises to bring new features and tools to Android and we are excited to bring it to you and your HTC. As part of our HTC Advantage commitment globally, we pledge to update all of our HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) smartphones within 90 days of receiving final software from Google."

Notably, the HTC One (M7) received the Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI update in May, while the HTC One (M8) was launched with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.

Further, the company explains the procedure and notes, "At this moment, we are in the pre-evaluation phase, or before we even enter Phase 0, of the software update process. While Google has announced some high level features, they have not yet provided the official software to OEMs or chipset manufacturers to begin work on release software. The software update timeline will begin once we receive the final software from Google and device updates will vary based on device, region, and carrier."

We can expect more handset makers to announce the Android L update for smartphones.

The Google I/O 2014 keynote address saw some major announcements from the company that included Android Wear, with more details revealed about the version of the operating system customised for wearable gadgets such as smartwatches; Android Auto, which has been tailored to work with cars; Android TV, majorly optimized for TV-watching, and the next version of Android, which goes by the temporary code name "Android L."

Further, to reach more people, Google unveiled an initiative called Android One, designed to help manufacturers build low-cost smartphones for emerging markets such as India.

LG G3 to Start Rolling-Out Globally From June 27

LG G3 to Start Rolling-Out Globally From June 27

After announcing the global roll-out of its G Pad tablets, the South Korean giant has now revealed plans for its 2014 flagship, the LG G3.
The new smartphone from LG will roll-out in various Asian markets starting from June 27 in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines, followed by the rest of Asia, Europe and the Middle East among other regions in July.
Unfortunately, there is still no word on the pricing and specific details of availability of the LG G3 as the company said it will be announced locally at launch time.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said, "Early indications give us reason to be optimistic that G3 will be as successful globally as it has been in Korea. It's quite an honour to be considered the new industry benchmark for premium smartphones but in the end, what really matters is how consumers feel about our latest flagship device because it was their feedback that helped us create G3."
LG launched its new G3 flagship smartphone at simultaneous events in New York, London, and San Francisco in late May. It initially went on sale in South Korea, and the company set a release price of the G3 of KRW 899,800 (roughly Rs. 51,900) for the 32GB/3GB RAM version, which the company admitted was more than the Galaxy S5 (Review I Pictures) commanded at launch.
The LG G3, running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with a single-SIM configuration, bears a 5.5-inch AH-IPS LCD QHD (1440x2560 pixel) display with a staggering pixel density of 538ppi.

It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+, dual-LED flash and a laser auto focusing sensor, while also including a front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a selfie mode. The LG G3 is powered by a 3000mAh removable battery, and features wireless charging support
